У статті розглянуто питання національного виховання та особливості формування ідеалу виховання; проаналізовано та систематизовано відомості щодо розуміння ідеалу виховання різними спільнотами; схарактеризовано ознаки ідеалу виховання для українського нації. На основі праць Івана Франка виокремлено чинники, що сприятимуть формуванню ідеалу національного виховання.

The article deals with the issue o f national education and the features o f creating the ideal o f education. The author analyses and systematizes the data regarding the understanding o f the ideal o f education by different nations. The essay also discusses the requirements for the ideal o f education for the Ukrainian nation. Through an analysis o f the works by Ivan Franko, the article identifies the conditions that contribute to the creation o f the ideal o f national education.
