Lexical and Phraseological Means of Expressing Indefinite Small Quantity in the English Language

У роботі розглядається питання про місце функціонально - семантичного мікрополя неозначено малої кількості у складі макрополя кількості. Порівняльний
аналіз дозволяє виявити відповідності і розбіжності аналогічної системи понять в неспоріднених мовах, показуючи при цьому їх національну специфіку.

In the present paper different means of expressing indefinite small quantity are described.
We regard them as a systematic formation of a special kind - the so-called functional semantic field. The paper is aimed to find out the types of nomination used in the formation of this field, to determine the classes of words and phraseological expressions within the field; to create a classification of lexical and phraseological units according to the types of nomination.
