Abstract
A sense of public religion emerged in Ukraine during the Maidan protests in the end of 2013-2014 as religious leaders, groups and organizations played one of the key roles in the protests and between authorities and opposition, using religion as cultural resource to shape social processes, it faces both opportunities and serious challenges. Becoming a public religion presents both opportunities and challenges for religious organizations, both of which will be explored in this article.
