Діяльність вітчизняних університетів у дореволюційну добу : проблеми історико-педагогічної історіографії

У статті проаналізовано масив історико-педагогічних та історичних джерел, що дозволив відтворити процес запровадження інституту приват-доцентури в Новоросійському (місто Одеса) та Харківському університетах, а також університеті Святого Володимира (місто Київ), та висвітлити ті об’єктивні та суб’єктивні причини, які перешкоджали суттєвому зростанню чисельності приват-доцентів. Опрацьовані та використані в роботі архівні справи, у яких йшла мова про призначення кандидатів на приват-доцентські посади, оцінку їхнього наукового досвіду, якість пробних та вступних лекцій.

В статье проанализирован массив историко-педагогических и исторических источников, который позволил воссоздать процесс ввода института приват-доцентуры в Новороссийском (город Одесса) и Харьковском университетах, а также университете Святого Владимира (город Киев), и осветить те объективные и субъективные причины, которые препятствовали существенному росту численности приват-доцентов. Проработаны и использованные в работе архивные дела, в которых шла речь о назначении кандидатов на должности приват-доцентов, оценке их научного опыта, качества пробных и вступительных лекций.

The modern stage of searching the most effective ways of reforming the system of higher education in Ukraine requires a consideration of the historical experience and its critical comprehension. Further development of university education is not possible without a progressive, competitive the professorial and teaching staff. It is such scientific and pedagogical staff that is able to shape Homo noospheratum – the man of the future. Therefore, the analysis of the achievements and shortcomings of the experience of pre-revolutionary universities of Ukraine concerning the implementation of the Privat Assistant Professorship Institute will contribute to the further modernization of the high school. An array of historical and pedagogical sources that allowed us to reproduce the process of introducing the Privat Assistant Professorship Institute in the Novorossiysk (Odesa), the Kharkiv and St. Vladimir (Kyiv) Universities, and illuminate the objective and subjective reasons, that hinder significant growth of number of privat-docents is analyzed in the article. We studied and used in our work archival works that include information about the appointment of candidates as privat-docents, evaluation of their scientific experience, the quality demo and introductory lectures. In the work we focused attention on the fact that most privat-docents took an independent opinion, no authority influenced them. Demo lectures, deliberation pro venia legendi, scientific works, new courses are indicative of their ability to thoughtful criticality. Therefore, the Privat Assistant Professorship Institute has provided considerable informational and scientific impetus for the educational process and thereby prevented stagnant phenomena in the professor environment.
The analysis of views genesis of the role of the privat assistant professorship of scientific and social public, measures for expanding and strengthening the role of the privat-docents in the scientific and pedagogical process gave the opportunity to examine the above-mentioned problem in a comprehensive and holistic way.
