У статті розкривається структура системи плавальних вправ, яка базується на основі методики корекції сколіозу з використанням спеціальних плавальних засобів та розрахована на досягнення ефекту гіперкорекції. Також у роботі порушено проблему важливості навчання плаванню студентів.

The article reveals the structure of the system of swimming exercises, which is based on the method of correction of scoliosis using special swimming means and is designed to achieve the effect of hypercorrection. The work also raised the issue of the importance of teaching swimming students. Therapeutic swimming in scoliosis has a very beneficial effect on the bone and muscle system, which means that swimming is very useful in any curvature of the spine. In addition, it promotes the extraction and unloading of the vertebral column, strengthens the muscular corset and increases the strength of the legs and hands. In addition, when swimming, the load is on the whole body at the same time, and therefore – symmetrically, and there are no muscles that would train more than others. At the first degree of scoliosis is allowed to swim breaststroke, front crawl and backstroke, but be sure to control the speed to overcome the water areas. At the second degree of scoliosis will require asymmetric exercises in which the burden will fall only on desired areas of the body, a healthy spine will not strain. Swimming and exercises are chosen strictly individually. Discussions are held with the attending physician or trainer.
