Експресіонізм як стильова домінанта у малій прозі М. Матієва-Мельника

У статті досліджено специфіку використання рис експресіонізму у малій прозі Миколи Матієва-Мельника. Експресіонізм визначено як стильову домінанту його творчості на основі таких рис: наявність драматичного начала, що передбачає внутрішню трагедію героя, його психічну реакцію на зовнішні подразники, нагнітання емоційної атмосфери за рахунок вживання відповідних синтаксичних конструкцій, розкриття внутрішнього світу героя крізь зовнішні характеристики: символічні деталі, пейзажі. Зроблено висновок про зв’язок експресіоністичних творів письменника із світовим інваріантом експресіонізму: за рахунок відображення внутрішнього бунту людини проти існуючої суспільно-політичної кризи і трагізму буття; ідеалізації зображення людини як невід’ємної частини макрокосму у всіх аспектах її існування.

Mykola Matiev-Melnyk’s artistic creation is marked by originality and innovative search among lyrical and epic literary genres. The Ukrainian writer, educator, public figure and political figure, a participant in the liberation struggles of the Ukrainian people for the independence of 1917-1920 throughout the twentieth century was left out of the attention of literary critics, as belonging to the cohort of artists who were not indifferent to the fate of Ukraine, its national idea.
To reveal the artistic features of the expressions of expressionism in the little prose of Nicholas Matiev-Melnyk. The specifics of the use of expressions of expression in the small prose of Nikolai Matiev-Melnyk are revealed. Expressionism is defined as the stylistic dominant of his work on the basis of the following features: the presence of a dramatic beginning, which involves the internal tragedy of the hero, his psychic reaction to external stimuli, the injection of emotional atmosphere through the use of appropriate syntactic structures, the disclosure of the inner world of the hero through external characteristics: symbolic details, landscapes The presentation of the writer of the tragedy of the events of the First World War through the prism of revealing the psychology of characters is a coherent way of illustrating the complex contradictions in the social life of contemporary expressionists
Proceeding from this, the characterization of the style of a prose writer, which in the Soviet era was ideologically engrossed, and scientists at the beginning of the twenty-first century, became relevant. Only the synthesis of neo-realistic, symbolist and expressionist jets is revealed. Such research is a small amount, which demonstrates the discussion and little exploration of the problem and separates the perspective direction for a new literary recipe.
The conclusion is drawn about the connection of the writer’s expressionist writings with the world invariant of expressionism: by reflecting the internal rebellion of a person against the existing socio-political crisis and tragedy of being; idealizing the image of a person as an integral part of the macrocosm in all aspects of its existence.
