Автори статті роблять одну зі спроб проаналізувати види функціонально-художніх специфічних рис українського ярмаркового фольклору. Вони намагаються спростувати тезу про те, що ярмаркові торги є виключно економічним явищем.
Дослідники наводять і аналізують приклади торгівельних прикмет, повір’їв, забобонів,
молитов, які збереглися до нашого часу і активно використовуються торгівцями на
сучасних українських ярмарках.

the attempts to analyze the types of functional and specific features of Ukrainian Art Fair
folklore. They try to refute the idea that fair trading is a purely economic phenomenon.
Researchers suggest and analyze examples of commercial signs, superstitions, prejudices and
prayers that have survived to our time and traders are actively used in modern Ukrainian fairs.
